Bates Motel Season 4 Premieres March; Season 5 The Last in Series, Confirms A&E

Norman Bates turned to full psychopath mode for the fourth season of the critically acclaimed psycho television series Bates Motel. The confirmed renewal for Season 4 extends to the final Season 5. Season 4 looks into the death of major character Norma Bates.

A&E confirmed the renewal of Bates Motel for two seasons - 4 and 5, and the fifth installment being the final season, Realty Today reported. Both seasons will compose of 10 episodes, a total of 20 episodes. Filming for Season 4 is currently still ongoing.

Carlton Cuse, Bates Motel Executive Producer, shared that Norman Bates' (Freddie Highmore) gradual transformation is more apparent in the forthcoming season. According to Christianity Daily, the psychopath within Norman will be unleash and unstoppable. More so, it will be triggered with the rumor death of devoted mother Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga).

Norma and Norman have a very complex relationship as the latter suffers from a serious mental illness. As the mental illness progresses, Norman develops a different view of what is happening around him. According to Vine Report, Norma will be killed in Season 4. As to who kills her, some suspect could be Norman as he is truly a psychopath next season. Other teases it could be Sheriff Alex Romero (Nestor Carbonell) who is the love interest of Norma.

In the previous season, Norman assumes his mother was the one responsible for different killings where in fact it's his own doings with his other personality. Norma grew increasingly worried about Norman's state of mind and sought help from estranged son Dylan Bates (Max Thieriot). On the other hand, Dylan discovered the dark truth about his parents. Dylan is the result of Caleb (Kenny Johnson) raping Norma before Norma married John. Norman and Romero got closer establishing jealousy and hate in Norman's twisted mind.

A&E will air new episodes of Bates Motel Season 4 sometime in March 2016.
