'Boruto Naruto' is a rumored spin-off based on the characters created by Masashi Kishimoto. The artist himself hinted that it may be possible in the future but he would like to put his focus on a new science-fiction series for the meantime.
During an interview with Anime News Network, creator Masashi Kishimoto hinted at the possibility of more animated films following the success of the latest cinematic adaptation 'Boruto: Naruto The Movie'. When asked if he was done with his long-running series he replied, "There are infinite possibilities right now. If I decide that I want to do more Naruto stories, perhaps I will, perhaps I won't. That said, there is nothing firmly in the works at this time. Just that there is always the possibility..." He added that for the meantime he would like to create something on the lines of science-fiction.
Another article from The Bit Bag reported that Kishimoto revealed some possible plot lines should he push through with additional stories for the series. He said, "I suppose one possibility would be to write the story from Sasuke's perspective, or even the mentors, the teachers, especially like Jiraiya, because there's a general difference there too."
According to Movie News Guide, a film centered on Naruto's mentor Sannin Jiraiya would open a whole world of possibilities and perspectives for the series. It would also bring the story to another era due to a "generational difference" with Naruto.
'Boruto Naruto' is a rumored spin-off based on the famous manga and anime by creator Masashi Kishimoto. The series follows the story of a teenage ninja, Naruto Uzumaki, who constantly searches for acknowledgment and recognition while he pines over becoming a full-fledged Hokage.
