Fox's hit TV sitcom 'New Girl' Season 4 seems to never run out of surprises for its viewers as Taylor Swift is slated to guest star as a matchmaker and Damon Wayans Jr. makes his last appearance as "Coach" on the series' Season 4 Finale.
E! News previously reported that an old couple might find themselves with major decisions to make about the status of their relationships.
Max Greenfield who plays Schmidt teased that there might be a possibility to see his character and Cece get back together telling Bustle "We have this big moment at the end of Season 4, which I've been waiting for and a lot of people have been waiting for". He also mentioned that "it changes up a lot of how Schmidt will proceed in Season 5."
It also seems that the New Girl Season Finale could also be the time that Nick and Jesse would reconcile as at least part of the season's last episode will be devoted to the couple talking about their "sex mug" and wondering if they still have feelings for each other.
Swift's appearance in the episode entitled "Clean Break" is not expected to be a lengthy one, but could be significant, says SpoilerGuide.
The pop singer won't be the only one showing up in the Finale. It was also reported that "Teen Wolf" star Dylan O'Brien will also make an appearance in upcoming episodes as a "blast from Jess' past" and Meritt Wever of "Nurse Jackie" will return to play the role of Schmidt's ex-girlfriend.
While the finale might be star-studded as it sounds, it might also be a sad episode for a few fans as the show is losing "Coach" once again.
Fox confirmed that longtime regular Damon Wayans Jr., who stars as Ernie "Coach" Tagliaboo, is exiting the show at the end of the current season.
"We love Damon and are so lucky to have had him return for the past season-and-a-half," executive producer Liz Meriwether stated. Joking, she also added, "We are working on crafting an exit for him that will leave the door open for many more returns, especially since Coach is our resolution to the upcoming 'Who's Jess' Baby Daddy?' storyline."
Wayans Jr. was originally cast in "New Girl's" Pilot episode back in 2011, but was not able to continue due to his commitment to "Happy Endings", which was renewed for a second run. Lamorne Morris replaced his role as Winston. Wayans returned to the Fox series for a four-episode arc during Season 3 after his ABC series was cancelled, and eventually became a special guest star, and then a series regular for Season 4.
For those who are curious of what comes next after season 4, TV Line confirmed that "New Girl" will be returning for yet another exciting chapter which, according to rumors, will accommodate Deschannel's real-life pregnancy.
New Girl's Season 4 Finale will air on May 5, only on FOX.
