Apple is rumored to unveil 'iPod Touch 6th Gen' and 'iPad Mini 4' in the upcoming World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 8-12 in San Francisco. However, details are not yet confirmed, since the company has not yet issued any official statement.
It was previously believed that the 'iPod Touch 6th Gen' would come out in September. It will no longer be just an ordinary music player, but a 'fully-loaded entertainment device' - rumor has it that the device would likely be an iPod Touch and iPhone turned into one.
The 'iPod Touch 6th Gen' is said to sport a better and faster Apple A9 processor which will run on iOS 9, along with 1 GB of RAM. The water-resistant device might be getting Apple's digital assistant Siri, a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, and an 8-megapixel main camera. As for the price? 'iPod Touch 6th Gen' is expected to start at $250.
It would come out in two sizes - the first variant with a 4.7-inch screen, and a larger one with a 5.5-inch display size. The said 'iPod Touch 6th Gen' will be released in a variety of colors, including red, silver, blue, pink, yellow, and space grey - it might be available on a white or gold version too.
Apple fans are also excited for the release of 'iPad Mini 4', speculated to be available by October this year. There have been talks that it will closely resemble 'iPad Air' that features a 12.2-inch display, dual speakers, and will run on iOS 8 or iOS 9. It has a 2GB RAM and 802.11ac Wi-Fi support.
What made 'iPad Mini 4' more interesting was, Apple entered into an agreement with Samsung Electronics, its rival tech giant. The latter won the rights to manufacture A9 chipsets for the next batch of iPhones, which is expected to be out by September of this year.
