A new leak that just came in surrounding the next Super Smash Bros. 4 DLC for Wii and 3DS is that Professor Layton will be added as the latest character to join Lucas, Roy and Ryu in this popular Nintendo game.

The Super Smash Bros. 4 new character will be added based on fan's vote that has not been revealed just yet, although, Sakurai has made a promise that more characters will be added to the game.

In the most recent report of iDigital Times, this said leak emerged over the weekend when a fan account initiated a promo campaign for Professor Layton to become the next character feature in Nintendo's hallmark title.

The fan named LaytonSmash asked Christopher R. Miller who is voicing Professor Lyaton on social media if his inclusion in the Super Smash Bros. Wii U IMDB page must be a taken as a hint that the good professor will be added to the roster. Christopher R. Miller's replied via his Twitter account which reads:

Who wants to say it? My body can't contain the hype. Someone fill in the blank. _____ in Smash. pic.twitter.com/IXiq5Ejbcg

The site suggests that Miller's post is as good as a confirmation if there was in fact one. This new intel, however, has neither been confirmed or denied by Nintendo, hence, fans have to hold their excitement for now until this is officially announced.

Following this recent leak that now swirls online, Christoper R. Miller's name was quickly removed from the Super Smash Bros. 4 Wii U IMDB page. Fans can recall that this isn't the first time that an IMDB posting has spawned Super Smash Bros. 4 character rumors. Shantae was also spotted in the same page resulting to some expectation of its addition to the game.

Despite that this newest leaked detail on the next Super Smash Bros. 4 DLC does make some sense, Nintendo gamers must still take it with a grain of salt. Keep atuned for more updates on the results of the game's new character where the inclusion of Professor Layton sounds to be plausible. .
