"Outlander" Season 2 Update: Sophie Turner to play as Brianna Randall; Rupert and Angus return on set

The showrunner reveals that there are still some few episodes left to shoot for 'Outlander' Season 2 . Some characters are returning on the upcoming season. Actor Sam Heughan excites the fans with his Twitter update about the possible actress who is going to play Brianna's role.

As posted on Inquisitr,  photos of Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe with the fans suggests that they will be returning in 'Outlander' Season 2. The show takes on Diana Gabaldon's book number 2 entitled, "Dragonfly in Amber". While Heughan and Balfe are busy filming for months for the upcoming season, showrunner Ron Moore revealed that they still have more scenes to shoot.

In addition to that, Moore also stated that there is still six more episodes left to shoot. The 'Outlander' showrunner also confirmed that characters Rupert MacKenzie and Angus Mhor will be appearing in the 2nd season. However, the actress who will be playing the character of Brianna Randall hasn't been cast yet as reported on Carter Matt.

On the contrary Daily Record reports that, Heughan who plays the character of Jamie Fraser in 'Outlander', recently re-tweet a news via his Twitter account regarding the actress who will play as Brianna. The tweet is about Sophie Turner of 'Game of Thrones' may play the character of Brianna Randall.

Ron Moore, the showrunner reveals that six scenes are left to shoot for the 2nd season. He also spills that characters Rupert and Angus will appear on set and that they are still looking for an actress to play Brianna's role. However, Heughan made the fans excited with his re-tweet that the 'Game of Thrones' actress Sophie may be the actress that they are looking for.

'Outlander' is an American-British TV series written by Diana Gabaldon and developed by Ronald Moore. The Starz time traveler series 'Outlander' Season 2 premiere date has not been released yet.
