Boring Company Digs Tunnel Under Tesla Giga Texas

On Monday, June 10, Elon Musk-owned The Boring Company said its Prufrock 3 successfully merged in the Tesla Giga Texas expansion. In its official X video, you can see that the worm-like machine's head appeared out of the ground.

According to Electrek's latest report, the completed tunnel will connect the Cybertruck EOL (end-of-the-line) to the 130 toll road, which goes through Tesla's property around the Texas Gigafactory.

The giant EV maker has already announced that it is under contract with the Boring Company. During the first two months of 2024, Tesla paid TBC $1 million.

People familiar with Tesla's activities claim that the new tunnel will exclusively transport Cybertrucks out of the Texas Giga Cybertruck EOL to the other side of the road.

About Tesla Giga Texas Tunnel

The Boring Company estimated that the tunnel would be completed as early as July. However, experts stated that it might become less useful because there are already two underpasses at the south and north ends.

These two underpasses connect the Tesla Gigafactory in Texas to the other side of the highway. However, other enthusiasts explained that TBC's new tunnel will transport Cybertrucks "autonomously" from the EOL to the new staging lot instead.

The latest announcement of TBC is a big deal since this is the first time that Tesla and The Boring Company have been seen to have good synergy.
