Carter Validus Acquires Specialty Hospital Property in Arkansas

Today, Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT Inc announced that it has acquired the Physicians Specialty Hospital property in Arkansas. The deal was priced at US$22,625,000. Carter Validus is a real estate investment trust. The company invests in mission critical real estate properties throughout the US. The company has directed its focus towards acquiring mission critical assets in the data center and healthcare sectors.

Physician Specialty Hospital is a highly respected surgical healthcare institution in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It received the highest patient satisfaction scores among other hospitals within the area last 2012.

The short term acute care surgical hospital has 20 beds and measures about 55,740 square feet. In 2009, the property was renovated and was converted into a specialty in-patient hospital. It also has state of the art designs including four operating rooms, an in-house diagnostic lab and radiology departments. The hospital also has once procedure room and a full scale emergency department.
