Fans of the History Channel's top-rated drama "Vikings" are eagerly awaiting the show's fourth season, which is set to premiere early next year as noted by the Latin Post. Spoilers have revealed a storyline of the historical drama as well as the unveiling of more characters and their surprising roles.
The new season 4 has also revealed a new character that will attract Ragnar's attention. Dianne Doan, will take the role of a Chinese slave named Yidu, and her looks and culture, will caught Ragnar's eye.
The upcoming season 4 will also reveal the betrayal in the episodes and among the characters. Crossmap reports, "Rollo's betrayal of Ragnar is almost certain and Rollo is known as the head of the Vikings settlers in Normandy (a northern province of France)."
The new season also offers different time frames that offer a different angle. Conversing with The Hollywood Reporter, Vikings creator and Executive Producer Michael Hirst admitted that the upcoming fifth season of Vikings will have a pretty huge time jump, stating that some time has passed.
The spoilers have also revealed that Ragnar's death is imminent. He was already in a difficult situation and struggling with his life. Ragnar was on the brink between life and death in the previous season of Vikings and he will die in the upcoming fifth season of Vikings. This will also pave the way for Bjorn to take over his throne.
It is also historically precise that Ragnar would indeed die and hailed as a legend, his sons Bjorn Ironside, Ivar the Boneless, will be more famous that their father. The Vikings season 4 will be returning to the History Channel in 2016, but as for the exact premier date, it is not yet fully revealed.
