Android 6.0 Marshmallow software will come with first-time features from Google and enhancements in apps, system and overall performance. Here are details of Marshmallow's best known features:
1. Improved Google Now. With Marshmallow, this feature becomes more intuitive. The new Google Now app will give information culled from third-party apps to a band of data and sifts it through. Information includes nearby restaurants, map locations, sorts of reviews, upcoming events, etc. This works by press holding the home button while launching the app.
2. Doze. This feature is the new battery saver of Android phones. Battery drain issues brought by apps not in use or background processing are solved by automatically shutting them. Doze also controls apps and features consuming too much power using hardware sensors and software modifications.
3. Cut, copy and paste. Cut, copy and paste options make its functions more convenient. Use these controls on selected texts and photos.
4. App backup and restore. Downloading apps and setting device after resetting it back to its original or previous state can be too much of a chore. With "App backup and restore" option on Settings, owners can easily regain phone settings and data after resetting it without breaking a sweat.
5. Better App Permissions. This feature operates by asking users whether they would allow or deny a certain app from launching, a link to be opened, etc.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow will also bring in device switch, direct share, simpler volume controls and support for various mobile payments.
