Fonds Strategique de Participations or FSP, a French investment fund said Wednesday that they have taken a 6.05 % stake claim in Arkema, a chemical group. FSP has also taken a 5.25 % stake in SEB, a home appliance maker. The investment was made to support the growth of both companies.
FSP was set up French Insurers Sogecap, Credit Agricole Assurances, BNP Paribas Cardif and CNP Assurances to help and take in a long term interests in established French companies.
Arkema is a Specialty Chemicals and Advancement Company which is headquartered in Colombes, which is near Paris, France.
Established in 2004, Arkema was created due to the restructuring of the French oil major, Total. Stocks for Arkema were introduced at the Paris Stock Exchange in mid 2006.
