The LA band Maroon 5 together with its front man, Adam Levine, are reportedly in negotitations with NFL to perform on the Super Bowl 50 2016. Other bands linked to the half time show performance include Coldplay and Bruno Mars.
The most-watched television event of the year will give the halftime of the happening to Adam Levine and his company.
According to MTV News, there were also reports that Coldplay and Bruno Mars will be present on Super Bowl 50 2016, but apparently, Adam Levine and Maroon 5 are the current frontrunners. Obviously, similar to the past few years' half time event, Maroon 5 wouldn't be taking the stage alone. It is noted that the Super Bowl event last year had Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliot join Katy Perry's shark-tastic set while the year before had Red Hot Chili Peppers lit up the stage during Mars' performance.
Digital Trends further added that the last two Super Bowls earned a viewership growth, which made it the most watched TV event ever. In February, Katy Perry with her dancing sharks and Missy Elliott illustrated 121 million viewers. Moreover, the February 2014's halftime performance that features Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers' gathered 115 million viewers.
Based on the record, many are anticipating that in its 50th anniversary even on February, the Super Bowl half time show will garner larger or same numbers of viewership especially with the help of Maroon 5 and most probably Coldplay or Bruno Mars.
E! Online stated on its report that the Super Bowl 50 2016 will be held at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on February 7, 2016, Sunday.
Meanwhile, the American band or even its representative hasn't uttered any word yet regarding the matter.
Maroon 5 has released five records since 2002 and their album Singles got the first greatest hits record. The band debuted its latest single entitled "Feelings" from their fifth studio record V, on Sept. 15.
