Entertainment Weekly gave a recap of what happened on episode 4, with two major character deaths, collateral damage and a pair of close calls already happened as the annual Homeland bloodbath has begun. Probably it won't stop there--not if Allison has her way.
This episode seems like Allison is the one pulling the strings about trustworthiness of the people around them, weather it it a greedy hacker or a dodged journalist or in a former partner-in-crime - in Carrie's case that is. Unlike the one she hallucinated last week, Quinn, which Carrie is happy to see, is another ghost from two years ago.
Speaking of Carrie, according to the Wall Street Journal, Carrie Mathison is dead. At least that's what Peter Quinn wants the CIA to think. After capturing Carrie during a woodland shootout in last week's episode, Quinn exposed these true, yet not surprising motives tonight: He did not go through with his assignment to kill his colleague, opting instead to fake her death and help her disappear.
NY Daily News also supplied some details about Quinn informing Carrie that she is on the kill list. Even though Carrie knew that she is on the kill list, she is still surprised after finding out that her former friend and mentor Saul was the one placing a target on her back. As much as she can recall, she can't point out what she did to tick Saul off. Even if she had, he wouldn't be dumb enough to hire Quinn as the hit man.
Carrie needs to play dead and skip town now as Quinn slashes his hand and rubs blood all over her face. She asks Carrie to pose dead and snaps a picture of her to document the supposed kill, according to NY Daily News. Once Quinn is bandaged up and resting, Carrie takes the shooter's phone and calls the only number stored. Who's on the other end of the line? None other than bureau chief and Saul's lover Allison.
So many things are bound to happen on the next episode. So many secrets to reveal, so many twist and turns. Homeland airs Sunday on Showtime at 9 PM.
