Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is basically a multiplayer game but players who prefer to carry out things alone can also enjoy a few single single player missions.
The single player missions called Situations is not a campaign and there is no story but it will be "geared toward teaching the player how to use the different mechanics and operators," notes Playstation Lifestyle by quoting Animation Director Scott Mitchell.
He also said that the solo mode is a good way for players to familiarize the maps and "ease into the experience." The Director gave an example of a situation where it requires the player to eliminate the enemies taking cover in a building that is full of hidden Nitro cells. Scott said;
"At the end of the Situations, it leads you into your first exposure to the Terrorist Hunt modes. There are cinematics that give you context as to what's going on. That's when you end up getting communications from Six, where you find out about the White Masks and what's going on there. Here, you can either play alone or with up to four other people."
IGN explained that there are five in the version of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege that they played and there is another one that is locked but when the game will be released, there will be a total of 11 single player missions. It is noted that it will be helpful for players as introduction to different operators orcharacters when they started to use multiplayer mode.
The singleplayer mode will also introduce the player to some of the gameplay mechanics such as breaching obstacles and defending the team in combat situations.
While it is not a campaign like the one Rainbow Six Vegas, the IGN staff who have tried playing assures the fans that the single-player mode missions will be enjoyable way for gamers to familiarise themselves with both the operators and maps in multiplayer mode.

Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is originally scheduled for release on October 13 but moved to December 1, 2015 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC for all regions as the developer needs more time to polish the game.
