Monster Hunter X or the more popularly pronounced Monster Hunter Cross has been heard of for quite some time now, and fans of the entire series have awaited for the title's release ever-so handsomely. As the trend of having game expansions that follow almost instantaneously after the original title, the same question is being asked from Capcom-and the response is as honest as it can get.
It was recently reported by Realty Today that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate has been given its own touch of more downloadable contents for fans. Apart from the massive array of weapons, skills and monsters that are already part of the original plot in the story, more have been currently made available to the mass earlier this month. It was released a few weeks ago, last October 5th.
The same cannot be said, however, for Monster Hunter X, according to Game Spot. The up and coming title is about a month away from being officially launched to the public, and as early as now, people have been questioning the utter existence of a continuity or expansion to Monster Hunter X. Capcom themselves have addressed this concern and formally stated that it is not close to happening as of the moment.
Noted by Game Ranx, Capcom is not yet prepared to release the G/Ultimate version allotted for the forthcoming Monster Hunter X. This has been one of the most admirable features of the series, almost a traditional practice to release an expansion to the current title they have almost instantly. One reason that Capcom does not yet see the need for the expansion is that players will simply await the arriving newest version and not the first original.
The approach of Capcom may not be as favorable for the fans but is certainly a more practical approach for the company. During the past, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was first and foremost, admired because of the continuous additions being given to the existing title, making a killing in sales especially in Japan.
Capcom wants to make Monster Hunter X an exciting title to wait for, as it is set for release on November 28th, for the Nintendo 3DS.
