Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) and Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman) travelled through time in last week's episode of Heroes Reborn entitled "June 13th-Part One." As expected, some of the original cast members of Heroes returned for the miniseries.
The seventh episode definitely shed some light on what really happened on June 13th, the day of the Odessa bombing. Among the returning cast members included Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy} and Angela Patrelli (Cristine Rose). Many fans expected Claire, played by Hayden Panettiere, to return for the show. However, Hayden already released a previous statement that she is not going back for Heroes Reborn.
The seventh episode entitled "June 13 - Part One" was full of revelations that many avid fans did not expect. According to Den of Geek, the episode took great delights in connecting the dots, weaved the events of the previous episodes and integrated characters into the story in new and unexpected ways. Last week's episode gave the audience more than just a glimpse into Erica Kravid's plan, the bombing at Odessa Summit and lastly, the most compelling revelation in the episode, Tommy and Malina.
No one expected for Tommy and Malina to be Claire's children, who died during childbirth. In a post from Hidden Remote, Angela Petrilli told Noah that her vision said that one of Claire's children would save the world from extinction. Since the babies were born on 2014, Noah decided to bring them back 15 years for them to become teenagers when June 13 comes.
Meanwhile, another original cast member is going to return for the second part "June 13th - Part Two".
According to Design and Trend, Matt Parkman, played by Greg Grunberg, returns as a more evil and badass character compared to the previous series.
"I'm doing stuff now that I never did before," Grunberg added.
There will be a lot more to unravel when the second part of the two-part episode unfolds on November 5th. Heroes Reborn airs every Thursday night at 8pm on NBC.
