Travis Barker, Blink 182's drummer had gone through some life-changing events in the past. It happened in 2008 when he survived a plane crash with a route from South Carolina to California. Throughout this ordeal, Travis Barker has expressed some of his struggles during his recovery process and the fact that he even offered a friend $1 million to end his life just so to fully stop his pain.
Travis Barker in an interview shared how his life turned 360 degrees since the plane crash. The Blink 182 drummer was the lone survivor of the flight that took place in September 2008. The plane was on fire and Travis Barker's hand was burning when he jumped onto the plane which eventually ignited his whole body, Morning Ledger reported. It was indeed a traumatic experience for the drummer as the incident burnt 65% of his body and he underwent a series of 27 surgeries to achieve full recovery.
This experienced had traumatized Travis Barker in all possible ways. At one point, he even begged his friends to kill him in exchange of a million dollars. With the majority of his body burned by the incident, the drummer thought that this is just too hard for him and for his family, Independent UK shared.
Travis Barker has survived and achieved balance in his life because of his children who have been the inspiration why the Blink 182 drummer is still bent on surviving. Moreover, in this recent feature by The Guardian, Travis Barker has opened up and welcomed his band's newest recording. They have started writing and playing new songs inspired by their recent happenings and their friend's as well.
Now that Travis Barker has fully recovered from what happened, he and his band are back to writing and making songs again. He also shared that he is indeed very happy how their new songs are lining up. Soon, they will be launching Blink 182's latest hits.
