Montagu Private Equity bought CliniSys, a healthcare IT company, from ECI Partners for a sum that was 2.5 times the investment amount.
"Today's sale represents another successful transaction for ECI, and highlights our strong track record in and commitment to building international market leading businesses in the TMT sector,' says Tom Wrenn, who heads ECI's TMT.
Fiona Pearson, CliniSys Chief Executive, summed the company's stay with ECI as being an "incredibly supportive partner for us, helping us to nurture sustainable growth and to significantly expand our international business, which now generates over half of our total revenues."
Although the company had a strong market position in the continent, there were still significant opportunities for expansion into new territories, said Pearson.
CliniSys was a leading European software solutions provider. The company helped more than 2,000 laboratories in 34 countries deliver timely and accurate test results to over 22,000 users. The company, based in Chertsey, had other offices spread throughout Europe, namely Germany, France, Belgium and Spain.
