It's been ten years since "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" and now the couple is back on screen together for "By the Sea." It looks like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have rekindled their romance during their honeymoon, which by the way is their production for this film.
"By the Sea" talks about a fictional married couple whose relationship is on the rocks. The onscreen duo turned real life lovers now turns yet again as reel couple for this movie. Angelina will take the role of Vanessa, a former dancer who travels the country with her husband Roland, an American writer portrayed by Brad. The story takes play in mid-1970s France and is purportedly mirroring the likes of Gena Rowlands and John Cassavetes.
Reportedly, Hollywood's highest paid actress now director Angelina Jolie has really taken up this project seriously to which Brad finds sexy.
"It's surprising how much I enjoy the direction of my wife. She's decisive, incredibly intuitive, knife-sharp, and might I say, sexy at her post," Pitt disclosed to 'V Magazine' as cited by Vanity Fair.
Also while fans might expect that they're in for a sequel to "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," the Oscar-winning actor says this film is totally far from that.
"By the Sea deals with that period when the honeymoon is well over and the couple is faced with the banality of every day and the pains of the unplanned." Pitt explains.
Pitt and Jolie claims that they're well aware how crazy the script is and the entirety of the project but it looks like the couple is simply meant for each other as they're both excited to do crazy things together.
"As artists we wanted something that took us out of our comfort zones. . .Just being raw actors. It's not the safest idea. But life is short." Jolie states and further clarifies, "It's not autobiographical. Brad and I have our issues, but if the characters were even remotely close to our problems, we couldn't have made the film."
As the 'Brangelina' couple gave birth to this romantic drama film, fans are on their toes impatiently anticipating the film made and starred by Hollywood's supercouple.
"By the Sea" will hit the theatres on November 13.
