Businessmen from China expressed their intention to invest billions of dollars in the Pakistan market during their several meetings with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. This announcement came after the Chairman Orient Group of Investment of China offered to participate in the Pakistan-Iran pipeline project.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's meeting with Xi Jinping, president of China, resulted in a stronger and friendlier neighborhood ties between the two countries. This meeting is part of the prime minister's series of international visits.
"Pakistan hopes to expand economic exchanges, especially in developing basic infrastructure, and welcomes Chinese businesses to invest there," said the Pakistani prime minister. A China-Pakistan economic corridor are being pushed through, according to Xi. "All-weather strategic cooperation is the precious wealth our two countries share," he added.
"We are happy to support and help Chinese partnership in various projects of economy," said Zhang Hongwei, spokesperson of Chairman Orient Group of Investment.
