A new actress will temporarily replace the "New Girl" star who is on maternity leave for season 5. Unfortunately, fans were not happy about the executive producer's choice. In addition to that, the show's executive producer finally responds to the bashers regarding her casting decision.
Megan Fox is confirmed to be the "New Girl" for the show's season 5. However, the fans didn't like the executive producer's decision of choosing her. As a result, they bashed Megan and posted negative remarks about the upcoming season. Because of that, EP Elizabeth Meriweather finally responds to the bashers about the casting.
Fox as the "New Girl" will be appearing in the first few episodes of season 5 and she will temporarily replace the lead actress Zooey Deschanel who is currently on maternity leave, as reported by People. The Transformer actress will be playing the character of Reagan, a medical sales representative who will be renting out Jess' loft temporarily while she's in jury duty.
Unfortunately, fans have been very disappointed about the executive producers' decision for casting an actress who is not fitted for a comedy show. Because of that, EP Elizabeth Meriweather stated that they just have to accept the fact that Megan Fox has been cast for the role, as mentioned on Deadline. Still, fans didn't stop on bashing her.
Aside from being bashed as being the "New Girl", Megan and her husband Brian Austin Green confirm their separation, according to Latin Post. Last August, after being married for five years, Megan finally filed a divorce. Then in September, Green requested for a spousal support and joint custody for their children. Their entire relationship lasted for 11 years with a son, Bodhi Ransom Green.
"New Girl" Season 5 is set to premiere on FOX anytime soon in 2016. "New Girl" is an American sitcom TV series developed by Elizabeth Meriweather under the working title "Chicks and Dicks".
