The former star of the children's TV show "Blue's Clues" have been involved in a number of death hoaxes over the years. One of the recent false news that came is his alleged death in a car accident last Sunday that was falsely reported, according to The Poch Times. Burns allegedly got into a car crash in Pennsylvania. This was later denied by Burns himself by posting on twitter.

The fake news sounded true as there were provided details of his purported death saying he was pronounced dead at 7:11 PM on Friday. It was also said that he suffered from a severe head trauma during the crash. Inquisitr reports that Nickelodeon spokesperson James Vanderbilt even sent his condolences to Steve's alleged death. He said "This is obviously a tragedy. We're shocked and saddened by this news." The news has devastated many of his fans, posting "RIP Steve Burns" on twitter, questioning the truth of the news.

Since he left the Nickelodeon show abruptly without any explanation as to why, people have been coming up of a lot of hoaxes about him. According to Snopes, there have been reports in the past that Burns died of a heroin overdose. His heroin addiction played a role as one of the speculated reasons for leaving his long-running show. However, the truth about him leaving the show is that he was already getting bald while the show was running. He didn't want to go bald in the eyes of his viewers, prompting him to leave.

Technology today has definitely made fake news spread easier and faster, making people believe to a false truth. This time, however, Steve himself declared that as a matter of fact, he is still alive and kicking.
