Steam just finished off its Halloween sale, selling spooky titles at ridiculously discounted prices. This Monday, (aside from the daily deals) Steam will start a week-long sale to pave the way for Black Friday.
According to deals site BFADSnet, "Steam is the world’s largest online gaming platform, offering instant access to more than 1,800 game titles and connecting 35 million active users to each other-and to the games they want." Black Friday and Cyber Monday are consumer favorite days due to the big discounts for assorted items, even videogames and computer hardware.
If you visit the official Steam page or the Steam client, all you need to do is click on the "specials tab" to see the discounted games.
Here are the top games on sale.
- Grand Theft Auto V is at 33% off just for today. PC Gamer lists GTA V as one of the Best PC gaming Black Friday deals. GTA Vice City, San Andreas, and Liberty City are also discounted at -75%.
- Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced edition, the enhanced remake of the classic game is at 75% off.
- The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, the underrated JRPG that started in the PSP is 50% off.
- The fun and exciting action-puzzle game, Waveform is 96% off.
- Magic 2015 - Duels of the Planeswalkers will sell for -75%.
These 5 games is just a drop in the bucket as Steam have 131 games for sale this week. Steam is also known to give big daily discounts for games in their catalog. The Valve digital download service had always been heavily criticized for their aggressive sales tactics. Electronic Arts claimed that their sales strategy "cheapens intellectual property".
However, Valve was quick to counter that they also discount their own games the same way as everybody else. They also believe that the sale will introduce PC gaming to more interested people.
