Apparently, the reason behind the said divorce is that the actress 'emasculated' her husband in all ways Halle Berry could be - by having a blossoming career as well as being the breadwinner.
According to Just Jared, various factors have been considered about Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez's divorce. One is that Halle Berry, 49, 'emasculated' her husband, Olivier Martinez, also 49, for being the breadwinner of their family, and in a way being more famous as a Hollywood actress. Another factor would be Olivier Martinez's 'explosive temper' that duly contributed to the said divorce. The actor is said to be intimidating his wife of two years. Furthermore, Olivier Martinez's was reportedly possessive but not in any way to the extent of being abusive.
Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez have spent two years together as husband and wife before calling it quits late October of this year. The said split was amicably decided by the couple; and thus, the said separation will be held by high-powered and top caliber Hollywood divorce lawyers, People Magazine shared. Both have filed separate divorce petitions just two weeks ago and mutually ended their two years of marriage.
Moreover, CNN cited the ex-couple's decision and official statement about their said divorce. In this regard, Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez have informed the public in their joint statement that it is indeed with a heavy heart that they are ending their marriage and decided to fully divorce. The ex-couple did not elaborate on the said statement the reasons behind their split.
