Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Death: Pat Houston Admits Her Shortcoming in Helping Her Niece

While the Brown and Houston families haven't fully recovered from Whitney Houston's death, the singer's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown tragically followed thereafter, an incident that opened the wounds further.

Bobbi Kristina Brown died last July after being found unconscious at a bath tub in January. To this, Pat Houston has broken her silence and regretfully claimed her failure to help her troubled niece.

In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, Pat Houston discussed with Kevin Frazier the events pointing out the imminent danger the 22-year-old was in. It seems that Bobbi was facing troubles in her misguided life.

Pat Houston was Whitney's sister-in-law, manager and has eventually become Bobbi Kristina's second mother. With this role, she even did things that her niece hated her for.

Pat has claimed to have filed a restraining order against Bobbi's boyfriend, Nick Gordon to make her niece realize that the lad has an abusive nature. This backfired since Bobbi hated her for it. However, according to Pat in spite of that issue, Bobbi still sought after her.

"When we really found out that Krissy was in trouble, we were really making plans to do something about it, but it came too late." Pat disclosed in the interview.

Bobbi was involved in using hard drugs like crack and heroin. It did not help that her boyfriend Gordon was into drug addiction as well. This is the problem that was supposed to put Bobbi into rehab.

Meanwhile, Nick Gordon has recently countered the wrongful lawsuit filed against him alleging him to be responsible for injecting Bobbi with a "toxic mixture" that led her to her death. Nick's lawyer's has filed their statement claiming the lawsuit as slanderous.

"Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it's shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly," the statement reads.

The truth to this tragedy is yet to completely unfold, but Pat wishes that she could've done better and helped her niece with the problems she was facing. And when asked what she would've told Bobbi Kristina given the chance:

"You have to love yourself. You have to call on people and not allow someone to divide you and then conquer you." Pat Houston said.
