It has been two years since the release of the Grand Theft Auto 5 and fans are still buying copies of the game as of the moment. This probably means that the game's popularity paves way for another title, Grand Theft Auto 6. While no official statement of the game's development has been released, the developers themselves have hinted that they are considering a much larger map and a possible female character in their next installment.
Rumors have been circulating in the GTA gaming community on the probable appearance of Hollywood stars in the next installment of the action-adventure Grand Theft Auto series. The talk of the town focuses on the A-list celebrity couple, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes, as possible protagonists for GTA 6. Neurogadget reported that Gosling has already agreed to use either his voice or likenesses for the upcoming GTA installment. On the other hand, Rockstar Games Co-Establisher Dan House stated that they have always considered a female presence in the game; they haven't just found the right game for it.
In addition, the developers also consider a much larger location for the installment's world. Rumors point out to either the United States or London, for a global setting, as potential environments. According to Latino Post, fans have been wondering whether the next installment would retain the GTA tradition of having multiple protagonist features. Albeit the tons of expectations from fans, Rockstar Games, however; there are no concrete proofs yet of the developer's moves for another installment.
Two years have passed since the release of GTA V and yet it still is demanded by fans, proving that the popularity created by the GTA franchise might work well for another installment. Yibada says that the developers might still be in the process of collecting ideas for the game's final concept, which might take years in the making. Nevertheless, the developers already formed concepts on how should GTA 6 might look like.
