Billy Bob Thornton Suffers Head Injury In A Car Accident; Latest Projects Update

By

Billy Bob Thornton has recently got into a car accident that left him with a head injury. Paramedics then rushed to West Hollywood where the incident happened and brought the actor to emergency after complaining of a head injury.

The 60-year-old actor was purportedly riding in the car's passenger seat as it collided with another car in West Hollywood. He was then brought to the emergency room at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Hollywood where he underwent necessary examinations, as TMZ reported.

Fortunately, "Our Brand is Crisis" star did not suffer from any serious injuries but was still advised to stay at the hospital for a while. It was later learned that Thornton got out of the hospital in the same day to return filming in his latest project.

It looks that there is no time for the actor to get his sick leave or take a break after the accident, with his two highly anticipated films taking up his time.

Currently, Thornton is busy with the promotions of his recent film "Our Brand is Crisis." Things are not looking good with this political satire film though, as it was hailed as the worst wide-release debut movie with Bullock's name on it. On the brighter side, the follow-up for dark comedy Bad Santa has finally been given the green light.

Billy Boby Thornton is expected to return in the title role and while his recent film is not doing so well, the upcoming Bad Santa 2 will expectantly bring up his name.

The actor is told to be working on the follow-up to the 2003 movie where he plays as a conman masquerading as a shopping mall Santa. After numerous delays due to scripting, it's finally going to happen. Moreover, it will be directed by comedy hits Mean Girl and Freaky Friday filmmaker, levelling up the expectations for Bad Santa 2 all the more.

Hopefully, Thornton stays safe and healthy and brings quality performance to please his fans with his upcoming movies.
