Pop star Taylor Swift is being sued for $42 million for allegedly copying some lyrics of her 2014 hit song, 'Shake It Off.' R&B singer, Jesse Braham, was claiming that there is no way that Taylor Swift was able to pen the said lyrics on her own hence pursue legal battle.

BBC shared that according to Jesse Braham, Taylor Swift stole the lyrics from his 2013 song entitled, 'Haters Gonna Hate.' The R&B singer wanted to get the $42 million compensation amount, if ever he wins the case. Moreover, he wants his named to be added as one of the writers for the said track since the lyrics were allegedly from him. Mr. Braham or Jesse Graham - on stage - claims that he has a copyright ownership of the chorus and how it was penned because it was based on his song.
