Jamie Dornan and his wife might be the cause in the delay of production for the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel entitled "Fifty Shades Darker." The couple claimed that they wanted to have more family time, thus pushing back the actor to begin filming the movie.
Jamie Dornan is best known for his role as Christian Grey in EL James' book-to-movie adaptation of the Fifty Shades Trilogy. The actor is set to reprise his role in the second sequel. However, according to Youth Health Magazine, the couple has been asking for more family quality time which has probably caused the delay of its production. Dornan's request to push back filming has been a disadvantage to the movie's production time line.
Dornan's request to push further back the production is not the only reason for its delay. Some characters of the movie haven't been given to any actors/actresses yet as well. In addition to that, Latinos Post reports that the production is also finding a new casting director. They have been trying to reach their target release date which is in February 2017 and if the casting problems won't be dealt with anytime soon, they might push the schedule even further. However, EL James, the writer of the novel, posted photos already on instagram showing that the film is already in pre-production.
James even posted a photo of her alongside her team of writers and producers sitting around a table. Their problem on casting has been the biggest issue of their production. Although the lead characters have already agreed to reprise their roles, Inquisitr reports that they are still having problems on the other casts. Some Hollywood stars' names are already in the likes of being casted for the other major roles but there has been no confirmation yet.
The film may be up and running already but there are still delays for the production team to already start filming. Rest assured, they are indeed doing their best to reach their target release date.
