Project X Zone, the character-studded RPG which featured characters from Bandai Namco, Capcom, and SEGA, shall have its sequel Project X Zone 2 released in Japan soon. Its international release shall follow in 2016 with seven different languages.
Monolith Software Inc.'s Project X Zone 2 shall have its Japanese release on November 12, exclusively for Nintendo 3DS, Geek Snack reports. Its North American and European releases shall be on February 16 and 19 next year, respectively. The game shall retain the characters featured in Project X Zone from Bandai Namco, Capcom, and SEGA. Adding to the roster are characters from Nintendo and Fire Emblem Awakening. The game shall feature Crosspedia which enables players to learn character backgrounds, gameplay mechanics and terminologies. Another feature is the Training mode wherein players get to practice with pairs and solo units, and even change the training dummy.
While Project X Zone was only translated in the English language upon its international release, Project X Zone 2 is more integrative in terms of language. According to Monolith Software Inc.'s Koji Istshitani, they have translated the game into seven different languages, each region having their different language options. English, French, and Spanish languages shall be available for North American releases while English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish languages shall be available for European releases. South Korean release, on the other hand, features the Korean language and Taiwan and Hong Kong releases features the Japanese language. Siliconera reports that the developers also announced that no other game content was modified upon international release, unlike the localization of the previous game which altered the game's art and music.
During the NY Comic Con, Bandai Namco America has released a 12-minute video of the game which previews the characters and new gaming systems. The theme song has also been revealed entitled, "Sekai wa Hitotsu no Budai" or 'All the World's a Stage' performed by Marina. According to Anime News Network, the developers are developing the game so that it enables maneuvering characters into position and in real time, perform strategic attacks through different combinations.
