Square Enix has officially confirmed the release of the much awaited new massive patch 3.1 for Final Fantasy 14 on November 10. The renowned developer/publisher has also launched a brand new trailer the game's hardcore fans on what to expect from the latest update.

Final Fantasy 14 Patch 3.1 called 'As Goes Light, So Goes Darkness' will be available next week bringing in some exciting stuff such as the continuity to the story after the end of Heavensward, IGN reports. Game enthusiasts can also expect a new 24-player raid, added quests in the main storyline, Void Ark, and Exploratory Mission that will send off players to emote places and islands for some rare loot hunting adventure.

The Void Ark is a new raid which will take place on a gigantic airship with dark beasts and would have been been a nice treat for halloween. The ark is a haunted ghostship that will require 24 people to handle. Sky pirates will be deploying the gamers to it to stop the dark magic that is infesting it. According to PCGamesN, the in-game screenshots show that players will be dueling with all types of demons including the strangely familiar Diablo of Final Fantasy 8 summon fame.

In addition, the Lord of Verminion which is described as a real-time strategy attraction will also be introduced as as an addition to Final Fantasy 14' mini-hub, Golden Saucer. Gamers can use minions to fight other minions in a 1v1 match. On the other hand, dungeoneers can also look forward two new high-level areas namely, the Saint Mocianne's Arboretum and Pharos Sirius.

The seven-minute trailer presents the details on the new features included in Patch 3.1 for Final Fantasy 14 including midget afros. Fans can check out the teaser clip via this YouTube video.
