CW confirms that "Beauty and the Beast" Season 4 will be the end of the story. This is because the show is receiving low household ratings. While CW president announces that the forthcoming season will air in summer 2016.

CW ordered an early renewal for "Beauty and the Beast" season 4 despite its low household ratings. Because of that, CW gives the showrunners a heads up that the forthcoming season of the show will be the last one to air on television, as reported on IGN.

Speaking of its rating performance, the show averaged a 0.6 rating in 18-49 demographic. The season premiere has garnered a number of 1.6 million viewers. However, the numbers dropped down to 0.23 in the demographic. Then the beginning of the previous season has garnered a total of 900,000 same-day viewers, as noted on Variety.

Regarding of its official premiere date, CW president Mark Pedowitz told The Hollywood Reporter "I truly like it as a summer series. It gives us original programming. One of our stated goals for the network was to have year-round programming. We're doing more and more of this, and having Beauty and the Beast gives us some scripted programming for summer. We are developing other things at this point for next summer. So I plant to keep it there."
