The fans are rather dismayed for the recently released expansion pack of the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2016. Fans have discovered that the expansion provides an incomplete set of rosters which the expansion had promised. In response, Konami acknowledged the problem and apologized to fans with a promise of fixing the issues and offering an additional content for the improved release.
PES 2016 fans who excitedly obtained the game's latest expansion were dismayed as they have encountered some problems with the game's transfer patch which was released in October. Eurogamer reports that the expansion does not include the final few days of the summer football transfers. The roster update was also found to be incomplete. Such roster updates, on the other hand, only affected the offline modes while the online mode seemed to be all right as the teams were up to date. Konami provided an apology and explanation for the issue: "We also want to take the opportunity to sincerely apologize to those fans affected by this issue. It's frustrating for the fans, and for the team making the game. We assure everyone that we have learnt from this situation, and confirm designs to improve situations like these are currently being considered for future products."
Despite a lot of delays, the game's expansion still incurred some issues. As observed by Gaming Bolt, the incident reflected all the transfers which took place at the end of summer wherein every football fans know that high profile moves tend to happen. Meanwhile a Konami representative explained PESFan that the systems used for online updates are separate from offline due to the process, while patch data also needs internal and external checking. He said that it may take weeks for them to fix the problem. Further, he explained that fixing the roster issues is their top priority and shall be releasing a second data pack by the end of November.
Essentially, part of the reason why fans availed the expansion is to play with the latest team rosters. Such is acknowledged by Konami and treated it as a big deal as with the competition with Electronic Arts' FIFA titles. According to Venture Beat, Konami shall be adding additional content in its second data pack as an apology and indemnity. It shall include new kits and boots which they planned to release at a later date. The new data shall include a new stadium as well called Maracana.
With a competition in the run, Konami is taking the issue seriously as to prioritize the roster updates in the second data pack. Additional contents were also included so as to show their desire to make good on the situation. The second pack is expected to be available by the end of November.
