According to Zap2it, Daphne Vasquez (Katie Leclerc) and Bay Kennish (Vanessa Marano) will be leaving China as soon as possible. As the girls are packing their bags, Bay receive a disturbing phone call from someone who warns her that something is not right back home, in Kansas. Such problems include Toby (Lucas Grabeel) and Lily Summer's (Rachel Shenton) baby is suffering from health problems. While Eric Tillman (Daniel Durant) will be sent to jail due to kidnapping.
Meanwhile Karey Burke, the ABC executive vice president of programming and development stated "Every season Switched at Birth continues to deliver fresh,relatable storylines that tackle important social issues, reflecting what our audience experiences daily... We're excited to see where creator Lizzy Weiss will take these characters next." as noted on Carter Matt.
Regarding to the show's home network, ABC Family will be doing some rebranding. Starting from January 2016, ABC Family will be now called Freeform. The Hollywood Reporter mentions that the network rebranding will officially commence in Jan. 12, 2016, the premiere date of "Pretty Little Liars". Tom Ascheim, ABC Family president said that he decided to change the network's name to cater young audiences between 14 and 34 years old.
