Lamar Odom is continuing to make a slow but steady recovering after his near-death experience almost three weeks ago. Though he is still hospitalized, estranged wife Khloe Kardashian arranged a small surprise birthday party for the former NBA player at the hospital with selected family members and friends. Meanwhile, the Kardashian beauty is paying for all of her husband's hospital bills after Lamar spent a fortune on drugs and hookers over the last few months.
According to a report from People, Lamar Odom turned 36 last Friday and enjoyed a small surprise party at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The celebration, which was organized by wife Khloe Kardashian, was held in a separate private room in the hospital, and was complete with cake, balloons, and party hats. Only a small amount of guests were allowed to visit due to Lamar's condition, and Khloe reportedly had to seek approval from Lamar's doctor.
The Daily Mail UK reported sisters, Kim, Kourtney, and Kylie were present for the celebration, alongside momager Kris Jenner, who also celebrated her 60th birthday the same Friday evening. Lamar's NBA friends and teammates were also invited, however, they weren't able to make it to the exclusive party due to a road trip the team was on. Close friend and former teammate Kobe Bryant though organized a gift to be delivered to Lamar from him and the team, and planned on calling in via FaceTime.
Despite the happy celebration for the former NBA player's birthday, the International Business Times reported that Lamar is currently financially stuck after spending a fortune on drugs and prostitutes over the last few months. Apparently, Khloe is the one currently paying for all of his private hospital bills and has insisted that any amount is billed to her.
Though Khloe Kardashian is slowly getting back to her normal and hectic routine, she continues to support and take care of her estranged husband. As for Lamar Odom, he continues to make a slow recovery but has said to be doing well both physically and mentally.
