Apple Watch is now available in India, one month after iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus became available in the country.
9to5Mac reported that the Apple Watch starts at Rs 30,900 in India. The 38mm and 42mm models are available in the country. They come in gold, rose gold, silver anodized aluminum, space gray, polished silver, space black stainless steel, yellow gold, or 18-carat rose gold. Its bands are available separately. The stainless steel models are at Rs 48,900 for the 38mm, while the 42mm stainless steel model is Rs 52,900. The Link Bracelet brings the price to Rs 95,900, while the classic buckle model is at Rs 60,900. The 18-carat rose gold model 38mm is at Rs 8.2 lakh with white sport band, while the gold edition 42mm is at Rs 9.9 lakh to Rs 14.2 lakh.
The Times of India has reported that the Apple Watch must be paired with an iPhone that runs on the latest iOS, because it does not have its own sim slot. If a user wants to call using the watch, he or she must make sure it is within 18-feet Bluetooth range of an iPhone. The phone can be carried out through the Apple Watch since it has its own mic and speaker.
According to Gadgets 360 if you want to pair your iPhone to a smartwatch, it is best to have the Apple Watch. Google may offer the iPhone-compatible Android Wear, but it would be best to pair Apple devices for optimum functionality. Pebble Time and Fitbit Surge won't give the same functionality as an Apple Watch due to software restrictions.
The Apple Watch seems to be an impressive device considering it is a first generation device. Its downsides are minimal, such as its battery life and lags, but these are not things that should discourage consumers to buy the device.
