As Black Friday approaches, retailers continue to promote great deals on device purchases. The latest big news is from Amazon, who is offering the Motorola-built Nexus 6 at a massive discount of $300 cut off from the handsets price.

According to Design and Trend, the device that was released last year with a price tag of $649 and will now become more affordable than the Huawei manufactured, Google Nexus 6P. The 6P is available at $499.

BGR states that the unlocked cell phones are compatible with GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile, as well as with GSM SIM cards, and Unlocked cell phones will not work with CDMA Carriers like Sprint, Verizon, Boost or Virgin.

The Motorola Nexus 6 features a 6-inch Quad HD AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 covering. The display resolution is a sharp 1440 x 2560 pixels, with a pixel per inch density of 493 PPI. The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 805 SoC chipset that sports quad-core Krait 450 CPU clocked at 2.7 GHz, paired with an Adreno 420 GPU and 3GB of RAM.

While the Nexus 6 is now a year old, which is already old in the fast-pace standard of the mobile phone manufacturing industry, it still holds a good amount of power, says Android Origin. Google has made a promise to Nexus 6 owners that at least two years of software/feature updates and three years of security updates will still be delivered, so there is still a lot of life left in the handset. That said, upcoming takers for the deal on the Nexus 6 will still be buying a handset with a lot of promises still left in it.

The Nexus 6 can be purchased with 32GB or 64GB non-expandable storage and has a battery capacity of 3220 mAh. The camera of the handset has a 13 megapixel rear end camera with autofocus, optical image stabilization, dual-LED flash and 4K video recording support. The front end facing camera has 2 megapixels reserved for flashy selfies.
