Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne get their fans giddy in their new love song, "End of the Day." Before taking their extended hiatus in March 2016, the boy band made sure to leave their fans with a good song to fill their hearts.
"End of the Day" is from the upcoming album, "Made in the A.M.," this is the first and hopefully not the last album that One Direction will be releasing without Zayn Malik in it.
Members of the band slammed rumors that Zayn Malik takes part in the album, even simply as an inspiration for a few lyrics or so.
"Obviously when you get the finished product, a voice that was there before isn't there anymore, so obviously that's different," Harry Styles disclosed to People.
One of the songs titled "History" was alleged to recount the band's story at the time when Malik was around. Some of the lyrics go, "You and me got a whole lot of history/We could be the greatest team that the world has ever seen," to which diehard fans of the original five-person group bawl over. But the band denied the whole thing.
"People are always going to read into that kind of thing, but actually, conceptually, 'History' is more about the relationship as a whole, you know? As a band." Tomlinson tells Entertainment Weekly.
It seems that there's absolutely no drama going on. Even the band's songwriter, Julian Bunetta, confirms that 1D's music speaks in general and people shouldn't read too much in it but simply relate to the music's emotion.
"We're all simultaneously experiencing a lot of the same emotions together, like a new girlfriend or a new adventure or a new house or confusion." Bunetta said. "You can take the songs in so many ways."
Apart from "End of the Day" and fans' outburst of appreciation on Tomlinson's high note in the track, Bunetta also shared a relieving news to everyone. When asked about what the songwriter's thoughts if "Made in the A.M." is the best album of the band, he responded with "Of course not! The best is yet to come."
The songwriter's answer though vague was still a hopeful assurance that 1D's long hiatus will not be forever. Or is it? Who knows for sure?
On a happier note, let's all listen to their new track "End of the Day."
