It is worth noting that "Need for Speed" shouldn't be receiving any micro-transactions. However, fortunately for the fans, Ghost Games has announced that a series of free DLC will be released for the game. It was creative director Craig Sullivan who revealed the good news and explained that though he is not that confident, the fans certainly deserve it.
EA's newly-released "Need for Speed" has become a major trend in gaming today, as it proves to have a huge cult-following. Now, according to Realty Today, Ghost Games has announced that they don't have any plans for any paid "Need for Speed" DLC, and this despite the previous reports about the game receiving no micro-transactions of whatsoever.
Contrary to the popular belief that Ghost Games will eventually charge all "Need for Speed" DLC, creative director Craig Sullivan has shed some more light on it, as reported by Vine Report. Sullivan said that all "Need of Speed fans "deserve" free DLC and that Ghost Games indeed plans to get it done. The company is focused "on listening to what the fans are asking for." Sullivan went on to admit that "the plan is that there are no transactions in this game;" hence it's safe to say that all of the "Need for Speed" DLC will be free of charge.
GameSpot, on the other hand, noted that despite Ghost Games' initial plans of offering free content, Sullivan is not 100 percent confident that this will indeed be a steady option in the future. Nevertheless, for now, the creative director is quite sure that it's what they're up to.
"Need for Speed" launched on November 3 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, while the PC version is expected to arrive come 2016. And although there's yet a word on what form the upcoming "Need for Speed" content will take, fans can expect the DLC to be totally free.
