BCI Broadband (BCI), a next-generation broadband multiple system operator, announced that it has finished the acquisition of James Cable. The purchase will further BCI's presence in the states of Georgia, Tennessee, Wyoming and Louisiana.
A statement issued by BCI Broadband also claimed that the completed transaction will increase their homes passed to 300, 000.
James Cable currently has a system that can match BCI's current footprint in the states of Texas and Oklahoma.
"Our completion of the James Cable acquisition is a focused next step in our plan, which will build scale and reclaim share as we deliver industry leading products and services to these largely complementary markets," said Andrew Kober, BCI Broadband's EVP and CFO.
Additionally, BCI Broadband will have an additional member to its Advisory Board. Alan Gerry, cable industry pioneer, is set to join the board. This involvement will mark Gerry's first direct participation in a cable operator since 1996.
