The Creative Assembly and SEGA's Total War: Warhammer has been officially announced to release on April 28, 2016 for PC, Mac, and Linux. Following its announcement is a bunch of fresh new updates regarding the game, teasing fans of the playable races, items, units, creatures, and a High King Edition of the Game. Further, an exclusive interview with Game Designer Richard Aldridge sheds some light on what to expect from the game.
Unique new mounts, blood thirsty units, and monstrous creatures are just few of what to expect from the game. In addition, the game offers a brand new narrative which features a driven quest chain for each of the Legendary Lords which comes with an armory of twisted and cursed magic items. A High King Edition of the game was also teased which is being produced in a "single, extremely limited run". Gamespot provides full details of the High King Edition in their site.
According to PC Gamer, the game will feature four core races of Orks, Dwarves, Empire, and the Undead. It is also said that a fifth race would be those of Chaos Warriors which will be available in the game's first race pack DLC release. Those who have pre-ordered the game shall have the race pack inclusive and free for the first day with access to three new playable Legendary Lords. The race pack also contains more of Chaos' most alarming monsters.
During the Paris Games Week, WCCF Tech had a chance to interview The Creative Assembly's Game Designer, Richard Aldridge. From the interview, it was confirmed that Chaos Warriors would appear in the game as they should be. It was also reiterated that the game encyclopedia shall require internet connection, and that it is fair to assume the possibility to play two Lords in the co-op mode. He also teased that players should expect a lot of sieges in the game. While other questions received indirect answers, Aldridge explained that such queries shall be clarified in the coming months.
