Following the announcement of a "Baywatch" reboot movie, seven different names of the actresses being eyed by the studio are being shortlisted. Paramount Pictures unveils the casting process might still continue with a lengthy search and procedure.

Deadline first reported that the studio is eyeing Alexandra Daddario (True Detective, San Andreas), Ashley Benson (Pretty Little Liars), Nina Dobrev (Vampire Diaries), Alexandra Shipp (X-Men: Apocalypse), Shelley Hennig (Teen Wolf), Bianca Santos (The Duff) and Denyse Tontz (Big Time Rush) for the leading female role in the upcoming "Baywatch" movie.

But according to the Collider, the studio will somehow do some extensive search. This may mean that some of the shortlisted women will still be chosen for other roles in the upcoming "Baywatch" movie.

According to IGN, Johnson will be a lifeguard who will be partnered to Efron. The "Baywatch" movie follows the story of the two who are bound to save the beach from the cataclysmic plans of an oil mogul. Gordon will be using the script written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. Beau Flynn and Ivan Reitman will be the producers.

It was also confirmed that Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron will be the leading men, with Seth Gordon hired for the director's chair. Justin Timberlake and Bill Hader were previously rumored to be having the leading man roles.

Originally, "Baywatch" became a popular TV series from 1989 to 1999. David Hasselholff was the first leading star along with his lovely leading ladies. Mitch Buchannon is the head of the best team of lifeguards.

Sources say the "Baywatch" movie will have a little hint of a comedy and it will be a lot more different from the original series. Pamela Anderson and Hasselhoff are also speculated to be returning for a different character.

However, these rumors and speculations are yet to be confirmed. The "Baywatch" movie is scheduled to start production early next year.
