A new trailer has been released for "London Has Fallen" which shows actors Gerard Butler who plays Mike Banning and Aaron Eckhart who plays President Benjamin Asher on the run from deadly terrorists.
The latest trailer of the sequel to "Olympus has Fallen" puts fans at the edge of their seats. "London has Fallen" might possibly be even more action packed than its predecessor. One of the most thrilling scenes in the trailer is when the aircraft that Mike Banning and the President Asher are on gets hit by a rocket. As Banning says "brace for impact", the aircraft loses its nose, then its tail, and goes down as a spiraling inferno through the skyscrapers in an inevitable crash to the ground.
Another notable scene is when the President and Banning are seen running through an underground tunnel. In this scene, the president says "I will not be executed as propaganda. You don't let them take me." The president then adds, "If it comes to it, I want you to kill me. That's an order." It shows a hint of desperation amidst all the chaos that befell the city after 5 world leaders have been executed.
DIY gives a scoop on the plot and reports that the President Asher and agent Banning heads to London to attend the funeral of the British Prime Minister. The funeral will be used by terrorists as bait to lure all the world leaders that they plan to execute.
According to Daily Mail, the death of the British Prime Minister itself is mysterious. This suggests the unexpected death may as well be part of the grand scheme that the terrorists have orchestrated in order to commence with their world leader killing spree.
Throughout the trailer, it shows Aaron Eckhart and Gerard Butler on the run while Morgan Freeman takes the lead in American soil. Morgan Freeman's voice and acting is as convincing as ever which makes him perfect for the role of Vice President.
The sequel will be directed by Babak Najafi. Reprising their roles are Angela Basset as Secret Service Director Lynn Jacobs , Radha Mitchell as Banning's significant other Leah, and Mellisa Leo as Secretary Ruth McMillan who got a serious beating in the first movie. Joining the cast are Alon Aboutboul as the menacing villain Barkawi and Charlotte Riley as a British MI6 agent.
Fans are in for an action packed thriller on a global scale with "London has Fallen". The explosive sequel is scheduled to hit the theatres on March 4, 2016.
