There's also a series of configurations available to those who want to double the RAM at 8 GB and the hard drive to 1TB for $549, noted in Cnet. All Steam Machine configurations include one Steam Controller, which can also be purchased separately.
Currently, the Alienware Steam Machine and Valve's SteamOS offers the promise of a great gameplay experience, with the ease of console and the freedom of a PC. Gamers can now just sit back on the couch with just a controller, minus the presence of a keyboard and mouse.
