UFC 193 has turned around. The UFC bantamweight champion for 12 consecutive wins Ronda Rousey finally had her first loss. Holly Holm, who has a record of 10-0 run in the said UFC division knocked out the former champion at the second round of their fight. Ronda Rousey was hospitalized after the fight but then reported to the fans that she is fine.
Holly Holm really did see that opening 59 seconds to the second round, grabbed the chance and took jabs on the former bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey. This loss has ended the latter's 12-0 record - her first loss in her entire UFC career, Yahoo! News shared. Holly Holm did prepare for the said fight; given all the factors that Ronda Rousey is really, if not the most aggressive opponent for the bantamweight title.
On the other hand, Ronda Rousey took to her official Instagram account her message to her supporters as how she is nursing her loss against Holly Holm. The 28-year-old UFC fighter thanked her fans for all the love and support and also expressed that she is fine with regards to her health after the said fight - and made it clear that she will definitely be back, TIME Magazine reported. Ronda Rousey was reportedly hospitalized for a split lip due to the pressure of Holly Holm's jab on her.
With regards to Ronda Rousey's split lip, doctors had to sew it up because it was apparently split in half from the strength Holly Holm put through right on her face. Moreover, a possible rematch is also being looked at, but more details need to be considered and that the management is looking carefully into the said second fight between the two, Bleacher Report cited.
Ronda Rousey's first ever loss came through as a shock to everybody. Moreover, the former bantamweight champion did express that she is working on it and will definitely be back on board. Hopefully, a rematch between her and the newest bantamweight champion Holly Holm will take place sooner.
