Nicki Minaj sure got a gutsy ex-boyfriend. The "Anaconda" songstress will soon face a lawsuit filed by former boyfriend, Safaree Samuels.
TMZ reported that Safaree has filed charges claiming his rights on three of the highest-earning albums of Nicki, including "The Pink Print", "Pink Friday" and "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded." Not only that, he also wants his cut from some of Nicki's hit songs, including "Only" featuring Chris Brown, Drake and Lil Wayne, "Flawless (Remix)" with Beyonce and "Feeling Myself" with Beyonce.
Safaree purportedly claims that he's worked hard for the said songs and albums, hence deserves to earn his keep. The guy is even ready to present his evidences proving his involvement in all the works mentioned. Some of which include videos of him working with Minaj, voice recording sessions and footages in their studio sessions. Safaree is also readying witnesses to validate these things.
Furthermore, Safaree claims that the "Super Bass" rapper even acknowledged his part on her works, that he's been given executive producer credit on the first 2 albums.
Safaree and Nicki ended their relationship as the latter reportedly cheated on Nicki. While in an interview, Samuel insists that the couple only broke up for the simple reason that they grew apart, that did not seem to be the case for Nicki.
"Lesson: don't cheat on a loyal woman." The Iconic rapper tweeted obviously aiming at her cheating ex to which Samuels responded blaming her for also cheating saying, "It's a two-way street." He even goes to admit that "Love the Most" was aimed at his ex-girlfriend. So much for his growing apart excuse.
Meanwhile, Minaj is currently linked to Meek Mill, and the two rappers seem to be hitting things off. Rumor has it that the two are planning to buy a house in California to live together.
While it looks like Nicki's completely moved on from Samuels, the latter wants to further their closure not only by removing all tattoos he has of her, but to remove all his emotional attachments by demanding money.
