By

Today, Publicis Groupe announced that it acquired China's foremost social media services provider, Net@lk.

Net@lk specialized in producing tailor-made social impact marketing campaigns to its customers. It built brands in a social context. Net@lk was comprised of four stand-alone sectors namely; Net@lk, Simone, Lenx and Buzzreader. Buzzreader covered social platforms like Renren, Taobao, WeChat, Weibo and Youku.

Net@lk also offered services to up to 200 patrons in both local and multinational. Some of its clients were Coca Cola, Pernod Ricard, Walmart and Adidas

The four division of Net@lk would be aligned to Publicis Groupe's sectors. This would enable Publicis Groupe to enhance its social intelligence capability.

Publicis Groupe's acquisition strengthened the company's presence in China. It would also make a significant difference in its global digital control.

The current Net@lk CEO, Lamy Zhang would be the head of the recently merged DigitasLBi Net@lk operation. Zhang would report to the CEO of Publicis Groupe's DigitasLBi APAC, Roy Capon.

"We committed to grow our digital marketing capabilities in China on the dual strategic pillars of e-commerce and social media," Executive Chairman of Razorfish and DigitasLBi networks in APAC, Vincent Digonnet, said.
