The Paris attacks really came as a shock to everyone worldwide. In this regard, U2, Foo Fighters as well as other artists who are scheduled to perform in Paris cancelled their shows. In review, one such attack happened during a show held by American band Eagles of Death Metal.
According to The Wall Street Journal, U2 cancelled their two Paris concerts for the weekend - Saturday and Sunday - in light of the attacks that happened. The band expressed that they will continue the show if the case has been fully resolved and of course, if the time for a performance is already appropriate. Moreover, Foo Fighters also cancelled their two performances as well. The band said they are doing this to give respect to the international community who are mourning from the Paris attacks which killed more than 150 people.
Ten years before in light of the London bombings that killed 52 people on record, U2 performed at the Berlin stadium. Ten years have passed and another bombing happened in Paris, the band was forced to cancel their supposed performance. In lieu, it will be up to French authorities to decide when the said performance will be rescheduled, CNN cited.
Moreover, the remainder of Brantley Gilbert's 'The Black Out Tour' has been postponed as well, and he promised the Europeans that he will be back. Rolling Stone shared Brantley Gilbert's thoughts and sympathy concerning the Paris attacks. The singer spoke that the group decided to postpone their performance out of respect to the lives lost in the recent turmoil that has transpired.
The whole world is indeed mourning and sympathizing to what hit Paris so unexpectedly. With all respect to the recent attacks, U2, Foo Fighters and Brantley Gilbert are just among the artists who have postponed their performances to show their respect and sympathy to everyone regarding this incident.
