Mayfield Fund, an early stage venture capital firm from Menlo Park, California, said on Wednesday that Ursheet Parikh will be its newest partner. Parikh previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer of StorSimple, a Mayfield portfolio company which he co-founded.
Parikh is an expert in the cloud networking and storage industry. "Ursheet has a lean-forward personality, is a proven founder CEO and respected IT executive who will provide hands-on guidance to early-stage entrepreneurs," noted Mayfield's Fund Managing Director Navin Chaddha.
Chaddha provided a testimonial for Parikh's promotion. "I have worked closely with him at StorSimple, where as CEO he drove strategy and customer adoption and delivered value to employees, investors and strategic partner Microsoft. He will be a key member of our leadership team and help further anchor Mayfield as the go-to firm for cloud, data center, SaaS, and big data-focused entrepreneurs," she said.
Parikh is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. He has a degree in computer science and engineering from IIT Bombay.
