One of the stars of "Game of Thrones," Jason Momoa, is set to star in Netflix's new adventure drama entitled, "Frontier". The drama is set to premiere on Netflix sometime in 2016.
Netflix recently ordered a six-episode adventure drama, which is reportedly going to star Jason Momoa. The series is going to be directed by Brad Peyton. According to Variety, "Frontier" is going to be a drama that will follow the struggle to control wealth and power in North America in the late 18th century. Momoa is well known for his role in the famous HBO series. "Game of Thrones," and his multiple roles as Aquaman.
Director Brad Peyton is also going to executively produce the show alongside co-creators, Rob Blackie and Peter Blackie, of Take the Shot Productions. Business Insider reported that aside from Momoa, other actors like Alun Armstrong, Landon Liboiron and Zoe Boyle are also going to be a part of the one-hour drama series. The president of Take the Shot Productions, Alex Patrick, stated how thrilled they are to be in business with Netflix and Discovery for an amazing opportunity like this. Peyton and Take the Shot already worked together previously on the Canadian CBC comedy series, "Republic of Doyle."
According to United Press International, the series will premier exclusively on the streaming service of Netflix outside of Canada. Since the series is commissioned by Discovery Canada, the first season will premiere on the caber in Canada first before coming to Netflix Canada. Other than Canada, the series will make its debut in Netflix all over the world. The series is told from multiple perspectives, it takes place in a world where negotiations and other business-related transactions can be resolved with hatchet fights.
The series is already set to make its premiere very soon and has fans of Jason Momoa excited. The show is definitely something to watch for.
